Japanese Anatolian Archaeological Institute

The institute is located in the village of Çağrıkan, Kaman district, next to the Kalehöyük excavation house. There are 3 departments in the Institute; research, warehouse and lodging departments. The research department includes various laboratories, study rooms, a library, a conference room and a photography room for excavation-related studies and other research. The working purpose of this institute is to carry out archaeological excavations and surface surveys, to examine the information and artifacts obtained from excavations and research, and to ensure their publication. Also to the people of the region; one of the most important goals of the Institute is to provide information about the history of ancient Anatolia and to ensure that they take care of their historical heritage.
